Green America (www.greenamericatoday.org) is a nonprofit, membership organization whose mission is to harness economic power – the strength of consumers, investors, businesses, and the marketplace – to create a socially just and environmentally sustainable society.
Green America's Green Business Network is the first and largest association of socially and environmentally responsible businesses in the nation. Working together, we combine social responsibility, environmental sustainability, and social justice in a way that builds each of our businesses, benefits everyone, and helps heal the planet.
The Screening Intern will work directly with the Screening Researcher to provide support, depth, efficiency and timeliness to Green America’s Screening team. The screening team investigates applicant companies to determine their familiarity with, commitment to and action toward social and environmental responsibility.
This internship is a wonderful opportunity for students interested in the intersection of sustainability and business, research and corporate social responsibility. This is a chance to learn about the exciting and growing field of certification, from an organization that has one of the oldest and most authentic Seals in the marketplace.
We are located in Washington, D.C., but some of the internship can be conducted remotely and on a flexible schedule.
