Started twenty-five years ago, the Social Investment Fund has evolved from exclusively offering mortgages to non-profits to also financing the working capital and equipment needs of established businesses throughout the U.S. and Canada. The Mezzanine fund is RSF's newest product and acts as a complement or alternative to pure equity financing, resulting in less dilution of ownership and less loss of control - key considerations for companies with deep social missions that might be compromised through equity financing alone.
