The Green Collar Economy hits the New York Times Best!

Van Jones, president and founder of Green for All released his new book The Green Collar Economy: How One Solution Can Fix Our Tow Biggest Problems, and hit the New York Times best seller list.

Jones details how we can create a sustainable future that includes high-quality job creation, clean energy, green building, organic agriculture and the reinvigoration of the economy. Al Gore praised the work: “Van Jones demonstrates conclusively that the best solutions for the survivability of our planet are also the best solutions for everyday Americans.”
Jones will be speaking at the San Francisco Green Festival on Sunday, Nov 16th at 1 pm.

Green America Reverse Trick-or-Treating

Green America was featured in USA Today (see story) for our work with Global Exchange to produce another successful year of reverse trick-or-treating, where children reverse the Halloween tradition by handing Fair Trade chocolate back to their neighbors. The candy is attached to a card that includes information about the social and environmental justice issues plaguing the cocao industry. Last year over 47,000 households learned about Fair Trade chocolate, thanks to Fair Trade trick-or-treaters!
