Dell Goes Green
Dell founder, Michael Dells announces intention to make Dell the “greenest technology on the planet.” He hopes to strengthen the companies’ sense of purpose as it focuses its attention on environmental issues. Dell will concentrate on environmentally efficient product design and material use, manufacturing and logistics operations, and asset recovery and recycling. The company will work to engage customers and stakeholders using “interactive and collaborative” tools on its website encouraging dialogue about environmental issues.

College students are targeted by credit card companies with high-interest rates, late fees, and over-the-limit fees, catching young people in a web of debt traps. With credit card debt at $875 billion, the credit card industry and the banks that control it took in $36.8 billion in profits in 2006 and many at the expense of young card holders.
