• SABMiller set goals to produce their beer in a more sustainable manner. The company pledged to reduce the water used in beer production by 25% by 2015. When the goal was set, SABMiller used 4.6 hectoliters of water to produce a hectoliter of beer. The goal is to lower water usage to 3.6 hectoliters for a hectoliter of beer. In addition SABMiller aims for a 50% reduction in fossil fuel usage per hectoliter of beer by 2020.

The Coors family has a strong history of funding racist agendas. William Coors, former president of the brewery, campaigned for the failure of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Joseph Coors, former president of the brewery, supported the California Ballot Initiative "Racial Privacy Act" which attempted to make racial data collection illegal, preventing discrimination exposure. In 2001, Joeseph Coors donated $100,000 towards the initiative and in 2002 hosted the kick off party for the campaign.
