Support the EPA in stopping Mountaintop Removal Mining!
The EPA recently announced that all 79 permits for mountain top removal mining submitted by the Army Corp of Engineers would likely violate the Clean Water Act. This is a huge change from the past eight years, and the EPA needs to hear from people nationwide that we support their action and urge them to stand strong against the coal industry.

Credit Card Reform Not Complete - Take Action
Thanks to pressure over the years from Green Americans and our allies, Congress passed and the President signed legislation to reform the credit card industry. While these changes are welcome, more is needed to safeguard individuals and our society from abusive credit card policies that contribute to mounting household debt. If leading banks like Bank of America, Citigroup, and JP Morgan Chase change their practices, other banks will likely follow suit.

This news is welcomed by Green America, but here in the United States Cadbury's chocolates are not Fair Trade Certified™. Please join Green America in congratulating Cadbury on the Fair Trade certification of their Dairy Milk bar in the UK and ask them to expand their commitment to Fair Trade in the United States.
